A collection of my personal gouache paintings, exploring color, texture, and form. Each piece is a unique expression of my artistic journey.

JGAA Design Dynamic Competition – Winner: Gouache Category I am proud to share that I am a category winner in the JGAA Design Dynamic Competition, an international fine jewellery design contest celebrating African heritage, artistry, and innovation. The competition called on designers from Africa and the diaspora to re-imagine tradition and design pieces inspired by the flight, colour, and symbolism of African bird life. My winning design will form part of the exclusive "Africa Birdlife Collection" (ABC), set to debut at GemGenève 2026 before being unveiled at a dedicated exhibition in 2027.

I was awarded first place in the Celebrating the Art of Gouache category. This category celebrates the timeless medium of gouache artistry—revered by leading jewellery maisons—and challenged artists to combine technical precision, rendering quality, and emotional resonance to create a functional blueprint for production.

The event was presented in collaboration with global industry leaders, including GemGenève, Digital Jewelry Week, Jewellery Afrika, and The Jewellery Editor. My work was evaluated by a highly esteemed global panel of leading jewellery designers, makers, and academics. The judges for the Gouache category included Hélène & Jeanne Karpov (Karpov, France), Francesca Grima (Creative Director at Grima, UK), Stasia Parker (UK), Thato Radebe (Designer and Lecturer at Johannesburg University, South Africa), and Nontando Molefe (Phatsima Jewellery Designs, South Africa). The wider panel also featured notable industry figures such as Pippa Small, Jannine Binneman, and Adrianne Sanogo who is also the Gemmologist expert.
